PLANT MEDICINE FOR THE EMOTIONAL BODY: Reconnecting Body, Mind, & Spirit

45.00

Ancient healing traditions have always understood the interdependent relationship of the physical and emotional body. As new research has increased our observation and understanding of the nervous system, cardiovascular system, and gut microbiome, we are once again gaining awareness of the overlapping terrain of mind, body, and environment. This revelatory workshop will dive deep into what lurks beneath the surface of ubiquitous stress, anxiety, and depression, and introduce participants to plants traditionally used for emotional wellbeing and personal discovery. We’ll connect our modern experience with complimentary mythological narratives that cross cultures and time, grounding us in our understanding of the human experience. Moving beyond “herbs for the nervous system,” participants can expect to gain deeper knowledge of plants that have specific affinity for energetic patterns of emotion that cycle through, and manifest as pathologies in the body. Join herbalist Lindsay Napolitano as we weave tradition, empirical research, and the lessons of the natural world to root us in earth based healing, and uplift our spirits!

ABOUT THE INSTRUCTOR...

LINDSAY NAPOLITANO

Lindsay Napolitano is an herbalist, farmer, artist, and educator living and working within the fields and forests of the Delaware River Watershed. She is the co-founder of Fields Without Fences, a forest garden farm and permaculture design service. In collaboration with the natural world she designs, cultivates, and tends wild gardens and woodlands while growing and crafting plant medicine for her extended community. Combining a love of story, myth, metaphysics, and ecology, Lindsay weaves an inspired narrative throughout her teachings on the subjects of herbalism, permaculture, and agroecology. She is a practicing clinical herbalist and writes professionally on subjects including herbalism, permaculture, and environmental renewal. You can usually find her outside, aiding and abetting the plants in their ceaseless quest for world domination.
